Partnership and Participants

ParticipantsAll major aero-engine manufacturers and the important research organizations on the field of aero-nautic combustion are active project partners. Each is bringing its own specific experience related to design, manufacture and integration of combustor systems into the project. Due to the high number of parts and their complexity to be manufactured and tested many small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will take advantage of the research work of this project. They will have the possibility to develop expertise that may allow them to participate in future commercial programmes and that will strengthen their competitiveness as well.

The project comprises 17 partners from France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Most of the partners of the consortium are used to working together in European programmes and are already working together in several FWK5 projects. Beside the pure work relation there is also a multitude of personal contacts and links.
One important benefit of doing this work on a European level is that duplication of work is avoided.

Furthermore, collaboration on a European level enhances integration of Europe and cohesion and therefore contributes to the improvement of the quality of life of all citizens in the European Community.
